  • Limit homework on weekends as much as possible.
  • No homework over breaks.
  • Flexibility with after school activities.

• Discipline

  • Reasonable consequences/language.
  • No embarrassment.
  • Speak to each other about rules.
  • Swift verbal rebuke for using "the f words."

• Tests and Quizzes

  • No pop quizzes.
  • Enough time to finish.
  • No surprises.
  • Questions from notes.
  • Mix of question types.
  • Reasonable length.

• In the Classroom

  • Interesting lessons.
  • Periodic breaks from learning.
  • No rushing lessons.
  • Tell Mr. Syracuse if he is going too quickly.
  • Mix it up with notes, labs, activities, etc.
  • No Smoking

• Notes and Learning

  • Concise notes.
  • Handouts for pictures.
  • No overheads!
  • Organized notes.
  • Active learning whenever possible!

• Activities and Projects

  • Pick your own groups...if they work.
  • Groups no larger than 4.
  • Clear explanation of what to do.
